This educational drama about how HIV/AIDS affects women and girls around the world brings together women from the four directions of the earth to tell their stories in the form of a talk radio discussion. The women talk about the ignorance, silence, shame, exploitation and violence that are the root causes of the HIV pandemic, and they share their hopes for themselves, their children, and the future. The stories featured on the Strong Woman Song DVD are fictional, but are based on factual information and stories from real women around the world. The characters in the story help the viewer put a face to the international HIV pandemic, and provide an example of how we are all connected.
