#700-2, 30 minutes,
In the summer of 1989, a significant number of Peigan children, primarily females between the ages of 8 and 12 years disclosed that they had been victims of sexual abuse. Upon investigation and charges being laid, it became extremely difficult for these children once the court process began. Some of the children refused to proceed with the court hearing, because of the stress it was causing for themselves and their families. For victims of child sexual abuse, the healing process is paramount if they are to grow into healthy adults. It was within this context that we developed a resource kit to show the importance of healing for all concerned.
